Will I get a fine for returning an overdue book to a book drop when the library is closed?
Answer
Overdue fines will accrue until books are collected from the book drop when the library is open.
Books from the reserve collection, and interlibrary loan materials, accrue overdue fines.
There are no fines for overdue books from the library's main collection, but you will be charged for the replacement of the book if you do not return it.
To prevent damage, DO NOT put technology equipment in book drops. Any non-book items must be returned at the library Checkout Desk (see How do I pick up or return library materials?).
