How can I become a member of the Friends of the Luria Library?

Answer

How much does membership cost?

Community members may join the Friends of the Luria Library for $10 per year to receive a library card for borrowing privileges.

What do I need to apply?

A library card for borrowing privileges will be issued to a person upon presentation of both of the following:

  1. Valid photo identification. An acceptable photo ID includes, but is not limited to, a valid driver's license, including a “federal limits apply” license, a valid passport from any jurisdiction, or a valid photo ID issued by any governmental entity, foreign or domestic, including a school.
  2. Any document showing the individual’s current address. An individual’s photo ID may itself indicate, and thus confirm, that individual’s current address. If not, to show a current address, an individual may present another document, including but not limited to U.S. mail received at that address or a residential rental agreement. (source: OAG)

How do I apply?

Complete our Online Application and upload the required documentation. The online application is only available if you have an existing Google account. If you do not have a Google account, you can create one, or download and print the Application PDF and bring the completed application to the Luria Library. Pay for your membership by cash or check at the checkout desk in the Luria Library.

What are the membership benefits?

When payment is received, members of the Friends of the Luria Library will be issued a Community Borrower library card for a period of 12 months. Community Borrowers may borrow books from the Luria Library main collection for a checkout period of 15 days at a time.
